Can I change the payment date?
Yes. If you want to change the date your payment leaves your account, then simply log-in to your Happy Place; in the top right, click on 'My Account and select ‘Payment date’.
You can now choose a new payment day.
If you’re paying by Direct Debit be aware it’s not an instant payment method. Payments take at least 3 working days to process. So if you set your payment date to the 1st of the month, it will leave your account 3 working days later. It works like this:
Day 1: We make a request to your bank for payment
Day 2: The payment is processed by your bank
Day 3: Money is transferred and payments settled
Will this affect my monthly payment?
No. Your monthly payment will stay the same. Changing your payment date just means that you may be charged one payment for part of that month then it will go back to normal - see below.
I changed my payment date and now monthly payment has changed
Our payment system will do some re-calculations when you change your payment date, and you may see one payment to us that is different to your normal monthly payment. Don't worry, this will right itself for the following month.
How many times can I change the payment date?
You can only change your payment date once during a 3 month period. But if unforeseen circumstances mean you need to change it again, simply get in touch with our Honchos who will be able to help you.
