What happens after 1 year?

Your original plan comes with a 10 year lifeline. The lifeline bit refers to how long we guarantee to keep you insured even if you get diagnosed with an illness.

Every year, we’ll give you the opportunity to refresh your lifeline for free. This way you can start every year with a full lifeline to fall back on in case something does happen to your health.

A month before the anniversary of your plan, we’ll send you an email with a link to a few simple questions. Answer these and we’ll let you know immediately whether or not we can refresh your lifeline and take it back up to 10 years.

What about any exclusions?

Suicide (including all deaths caused by intentional self-inflicted injury) is definitely not covered for the first 12 months of your plan. After that it depends on your circumstances, but we try and cover it where we can. We’ll review the suicide clause every year on your anniversary date as part of your annual 'refresh'.

What happens if I can’t refresh my plan?

If we can’t refresh your lifeline, or you choose not to, your insurance plan will still carry on, and will do so until either you stop paying us, or your original lifeline runs out.

You can log in to view all the finer details of your plan including the length of your lifeline here https://rih.deadhappy.com/login
